Tsurumi pumps applied across mining, construction and wastewater sites
Applications

Applications

Browse pumps by what they do, dewatering, sewage, slurry transfer and more.

  • Dewatering

Excavations, shafts, basements and pits fill faster than they drain, and the water is always gritty enough to wear out an ordinary pump. Portable KTV units cover everyday site drainage, while KTZ and LH handle long vertical lifts out of deep workings. For continuous abrasive duty underground, the KRS range is the usual specification.
  • Sewage Handling

Lift stations and municipal sewage lines need solids passage more than pressure, and they cannot be taken offline for long. The vortex B and channel-impeller BZ ranges cover most station duties, while the C cutter series protects pressurised rising mains. Browse the sewage and wastewater category for the full model list.
  • Slurry Transfer

Abrasive sand and tailings transfer wears pumps out from the inside, so wet-end material and agitation matter more than efficiency. The GPN range fluidises settled sand with a bottom agitator, NKZ adds the head for longer rising mains, and GSD covers large fixed installations. See the slurry category.
  • Aeration

Oxygen transfer in activated-sludge and aquaculture basins depends on keeping the water body in motion so air is distributed rather than escaping at one point. The MG submersible mixer provides that circulation, supported by the wastewater pumps in the sewage and wastewater category.
  • Sludge Dewatering

Biological and industrial sludges are thick, variable and unforgiving on pumps that rely on clean liquid. The channel-impeller BZ and semi-vortex BN ranges move sludge to and from dewatering plant, and the agitator-equipped KTD pump clears settled material out of holding sumps.
  • Irrigation

Agricultural transfer from dams, canals and balancing ponds means handling sand and organic matter season after season, often unattended. The KTV and KRS ranges tolerate that water, and LH covers the lift to an elevated header tank. See the agriculture and irrigation market page.
  • High-Temperature Pumping

Process liquids up to 90 °C shorten the life of standard submersible motors and seals, so the duty needs pumps rated for it. The TM and TMA resin ranges are built for warmer process transfer, with TMA switching automatically as sump level changes.
  • Corrosion-Resistant Pumping

Aggressive chemical and process media attack the pump itself, so material selection comes before hydraulics. The resin-bodied PN and PU ranges suit mildly acidic water, while the fully stainless SFQ series covers harsher chemistry. The full list is in the corrosion resistant category.
  • Drainage

Stormwater, basement and infrastructure drainage is about being ready rather than being big: the pump sits idle until it is urgently needed. Automatic LBA and KTVE units start on level without an operator, and GSZ covers fixed high-volume points. See the full dewatering category for selection.
  • Mixing

Activated sludge and equalisation basins stratify and settle unless the contents are kept moving, which is a mixing problem rather than a pumping one. The MG submersible mixer range keeps basins homogeneous, and pairs with the BZ transfer pumps used around treatment plant.
  • Explosion Proof

Where flammable gases, vapours or combustible dust are present, an ordinary motor is an ignition source and the installation needs certified equipment. The KTX portable dewatering pump and the low-level HSX residue pump cover both routine drainage and bund clean-up in classified areas.
