Sewage & Wastewater.
Municipal and industrial wastewater duty is defined by what the liquid carries — solids, rag, fibre and grease — and by the fact that a station cannot simply be switched off while a pump is repaired.
Standard lift-station and sump duty is covered by the vortex and semi-vortex B and BN ranges, with BZ channel-impeller pumps for the larger municipal stations that run continuously. Where a pressurised rising main will not tolerate solids, the C series cuts them before discharge. Small developments, filling stations and ablution blocks are served by the U, UZ, UT and PLS ranges, and hygiene-sensitive or chloride-heavy effluent moves to the stainless SF and SFQ pumps.
