Explosion Proof Pumps

Explosion-proof pumps are used where flammable gas, vapour or dust makes an ordinary motor an ignition risk: fuel depots and tank farms, refinery bunds, solvent stores, and mine sections with gas present.

Two series cover 6 published models from 0.4kW to 3.7kW. HSX carries a low-level residue wet end that strips standing water down to a few millimetres, which suits bund and containment clean-up. KTX is a portable dewatering frame in a protected housing for routine water removal at higher head. Both are drop-in replacements for their standard-build equivalents in duty terms, so selection follows the same curves — the difference is the certification the installation requires.
